The MiSTEM Network is dedicated to transforming STEM (science, engineering, technology, & mathematics) learning by engaging educators and community partners in pedagogical approaches that revolve around real-world issues that are important to students’ lived experiences, honor student knowledge and engage in practices and processes that position students and the knowers, doers, and builders of knowledge. These problem, project, and place-based pedagogies dove tail with many of the career readiness standards and initiatives put forth for Michigan students.
